Adorable Panda Freebie Kit - Start, Finish & FFO!

Good afternoon stitchy friends!

Today I wanted to share just a quick little start, finish & FFO with you :) I had this cute little freebie kit that had come with a Cross Stitch Crazy magazine and decided to make it for my Mom's birthday card this year. It took me a few nights to work up but it turned out really cute. Here is the finished stitching and then it completed as an FFO into a little card.

Because this is small, about 3" x 3" finished or so...I told Mom that she could glue the card shut and put a magnet on the back and use it as a little fridge magnet :)

Good Morning Stitchy Friends!

I have just finished my LITTLE GREEN!! Yay! Here he is all finished:

I did make a few changes to this. I used white wisper thread in the ears. I also used DMC light effects for the wings as I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle. I used E3821 for the gold in the wings and for his antennae balls, and then E5200 for the white. I stitched this 2 over 2 on 28 count Jazlyn in Citrus Burst from Crafty Kitten Fabrics, except the DMC light effects I only used 1 strand of that over 2.

I loved stitching this one, he was so fun! Yes the magazine says that it is a HE :) The pattern is from the Cross Stitch Crazy magazine (UK) April 2006.

WIP Little Green

Good afternoon Stitchy Friends!

I have a WIP post for you today. I currently have 17 WIPS started and am still struggling to come up with a good rotation for them. I only have a limited number of Q-Snaps and scroll bars and things and I tend to be kind of a lazy stitcher. When I am ready to sit down and stitch I don't want to have to prep anything, put anything in a hoop or on scroll bars or a q-snap I want to be able to pick something up and just stitch. So lately I have been working mainly on my projects that are already in q-snaps or my scroll frames.

One of these projects is my Little Green from the Cross Stitch Crazy issue April 2006 and here is what this cutie will look like finished:

And here is where I am at on this currently:

I have so far stitched this as charted. I have some plans to change the white in the ear to using some wisper thread so it is a little fuzzy. I was also thinking of using kreinik pearl and gold for the wings to give them some sparkle. I am using 28 count Jazlyn in Citrus Burst from Crafty Kitten Fabrics. I am stitching this 2 over 2.

My needleminder was a gift I received in a Halloween Cross Stitch Swap hosted by Under The Sea Fabrics. The person that had my name purchased it from Gina's Unique Boutique.
